Are BDT points considered tokens?
Not yet. Right now, we’re starting with points. Tokenizing is a long-term vision, and we’re working with our community (builders, companies and partners) to figure out how to best make that happen. Can I add testimonials or endorsements from previous teammates or clients to my profile?
At the moment, A.Team does not have a feature for adding testimonials or endorsements from previous colleagues or clients to your profile. However, you’re welcome to include testimonials inside your project cards, if they bolster your skills and expertise.
Can I change my availability for missions after I've set it on my A.Team profile?
Yes. You can always update your availability for missions by going back to your profile and editing the "Availability" section.
Can I connect with someone I haven't worked with before?
Absolutely. A.Team is all about creating world class product teams. If you find someone you’d like to tam up with, we encourage you to connect with them, even if you haven’t worked together before.
Can I include volunteer work or personal projects in my project cards?
Yes. You can and should include any relevant experiences, including volunteer work or personal projects, in your project cards.
Do I have to fill out all the sections in my A.Team profile?
Yes. Completing the sections in-depth will make your profile more competitive, and bring up your chances of being connected with relevant missions and teammates.
How can I unsubscribe from all emails on A.Team?
Go to your profile, click on ‘Settings’ and select ‘Notifications’. Here you can indicate your communication preferences, including opting out of all platform emails*.
* You will still receive emails related to your applications, confirmed missions and active evaluation processes.
How do I add collaborators to my project card?
In the 'Collaborators' section of the project card, you can add the names and roles of collaborators. Collaborators will receive a notification to accept or reject the invitation to be listed on the project card.
How do I create a Project Card?
Navigate to your profile, click on the 'Edit' button in the upper right corner, and then click on 'Add Project'. Fill out the required fields and any additional information you wish to include, then save to add the Project Card to your profile.
How do I delete or edit a project card?
Navigate to the project card you wish to edit or delete, click on the 'Edit' button to make changes, or find the 'Delete' option to remove the project card from your profile.
How do I make my profile discoverable?
This feature is available to all builders with a fully filled-out profile. Make sure all sections are and the profile completeness meter is fully filled out. If you’ve previously completed this step and dismissed the meter, it will no longer show up but this means you meet the minimum requirements.
The higher quality your profile, the higher your profile will be boosted. Provide more projects and jobs for a comprehensive view of your experience.
How do I opt-out of of company discovery and being starred?
You can opt-out via the 'Account Settings' in your profile.
How does Builder Connections affect my chances of being selected for missions?
Connecting is an important factor in being selected for missions. When building teams, those with a history of collaboration or mutual interest in working together are prioritized. This approach results in a better team experience and, ultimately, improved outcomes.
How does the Discovery tab work?
The Discovery tab uses our proprietary TeamGraph algorithm to find potentially relevant connections that you may be interested in teaming up with.
How often should I update my A.Team profile?
We recommend you update your A.Team profile regularly, especially as you gain new skills or experience. This will ensure that you are being considered for relevant missions and teams based on your current abilities and availability.
Is my A.Team profile visible to the public?
Your A.Team profile is visible to other builders, who have completed onboarding and are logged into the platform, provided you have opted into builder visibility. Companies can search, discover, and star your profile for upcoming missions, provided you have opted into company discoverability.
My work location often changes. What location should I set on my A.Team profile?
If your work location often changes, you should set your location to your country of tax residency, or the place where you are legally based. However, you should always edit your timezone to wherever you’re working at the moment. This will ensure that your timezone and availability are accurate when being connected with missions and teams.
What does it mean when a company stars my profile?
It means the company is interested in your skills and expertise for a current or upcoming mission. You'll be notified about their missions and get priority on any you apply to.
What happens if I overestimate my skill proficiency in my profile?
It's important to be honest when rating your skills. If you overestimate your skill proficiency in your A.Team profile, you may be connected with missions and roles that require a higher skill level than you actually possess, which could lead to poor performance and negatively impact your reputation as an A.Team builder. Do your best to accurately represent your skills and abilities in your profile.
What if I have a question about my point balance?

What should I do if a connection request is declined?
Builders decline connection requests for various reasons. If you believe that a request was declined in error, you can resend the request by visiting the builder's profile or message the builder to explain your interest in collaborating.
What should I do if I don’t have any profile suggestions?
If you don’t have any profile suggestions, make sure your LinkedIn is connected to your profile or your resume is uploaded. To do that, go to your profile, click edit, and on the left side, confirm that you both have a LinkedIn link and that it is a working link, and that your resume is included.
What should I do if I don't have any relevant work experience for the specific mission I want to request to join?
If you don't have any relevant work experience for the mission you want to join but you believe it could still be a great fit, consider including relevant coursework, personal projects, or volunteer work that demonstrates your abilities and passion.
What should I include in the "Roles and Skills" section of my A.Team profile?
You should include your main role and any additional roles you have experience in, as well as your top skills and proficiency ratings for each. This will ensure that you’re connected with missions that align with your expertise.
When do I get my points?
Your BDT point balance is updated once a month, and reflected in your A.Team account. It includes hours built by both you and your referrals. Points are accrued only after billed hours are paid, and you’ve reached a minimum of 50 billed hours.
When will incentives and rewards go live?
The Build Token is still in beta, and we’re actively determining our benefits policies. Right now, you can earn unlimited BDT points — but stay tuned for updates via our newsletter as we develop BDT’s badge & influence tiers, sharing plan, and A.Store.
Will my A.Team profile be visible to the public or only to A.Team staff and companies?
Your profile will be visible to all A.Team members and A.Team staff.
Will my email be public to other builders on A.Team?
No. Your email address is not visible to other builders on the platform. However, you may receive direct messages from your A.Team connections via email.
Will my proficiency ratings for skills be visible to others on the platform?
Yes, your proficiency ratings for skills will be visible to Formation Team members and companies that view your A.Team profile.
